TERRALSOLE - BRUNELLO
Soil composition: Mixed marl with excellent drainage
Average altitude: 250 meters above sea level
Density of vines: 5.000 (per hectare)
Growth system: Balanced bilateral “cordone”
Grape varietal: 100 % Sangiovese Grosso known in Montalcino as "Brunello"
Harvest: Selected grapes are picked by hand and placed in small crates with holes for ventilation. They are unloaded directly into the de-stemmer and fall gently into the vats thanks to the cellar design, exploiting the force of gravity.
Vinification: Intense extraction in contact with the marcs with frequent pump-overs during fermentation. Great attention is paid to temperature control and the temperature never exceeds 29° C.
Aging in wood: 8 months in new Slavonian oak barrels.
Bottle aging: At least 4 months in a special air conditioned area of the cellar.
ORGANOLEPTIC ANALYSIS
Color: Intense ruby red.
Bouquet: Ample and persistent with fruit notes well matched and balanced by wood derived secondary aromas.
Taste: The wine boasts a strong structure with good tannins. It is soft in the mouth with pleasant echoes of fresh and ripe fruit.
